Villa Fuma is situated in a nice and quiet setting of a typical Istrian village, Stranici, in Sv. Lovrec surroundings.
A country house, built in 1874, all the time owned by our family, has become a comfortable villa with preserved rustic beauty.
Staying in Villa Fuma will give you the opportunity to make the acquaintance of the istrian importance. The Villa is not far away of the main istrian towns as Poreč, place of entertainments and culture. The Euphrasian basilica in Porec from the 6th century, because of its exceptional value, has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage in 1997.
Rovinj, the most romantic place on the Adriatic coast, with a great number of art galleries and coffee bars in the old city center and the impressive church of Sta. Eufemia on the top hill.
Pula, the istrian capital, 3000 thousand years old town, with a great number of roman monuments. The well known is Arena, the best preserved roman amphitheatre in the world.

 

It is important to visit the small cities and villages in the istrian inland. The nearest one is Sv.Lovrec, with its medieval walls and houses. Groznjan with a lot of monuments, and over 20 art galleries. Motovun with its impressive view from the city walls, surrounded with a park-forest, source of the delicious istrian white and black truffle.

Driving you could see extensive vineyards and olive-groves. In the restaurants and small village taverns you could enjoy the istrian food such as truffles, first class fish, homemade pasta in combination with world famous istrian olive oil and excellent wines.
